stephanie is: busy busy…
so last night we watched ‘americam psycho 2’ in bed (well danny had trouble staying awake). i got to sleep at 5am. since we were going to bed way to early for a night schedule we planned to sleep again later. i woke up for a hour at 6:30am because the dogs had gotten themselves stuck downstairs and were crying. got up and showered at 11am. we left for some errands as soon as i was dressed. our first stop was to buy a new sheet set to replace our oldest one that was upseting danny’s skin. it is in the dryer right now.

second stop was the pet store. we went to the petco where the rescue org we got china from always does adoption fairs. they don’t always have enough handlers for the dogs so we let one out of the kennels and tried to pimp him out. his name was max and he had such an angel face. he has not had much obedience training but as soon as he learned we’d give him a cookie if he sat he was our new best friend. he should be very easy to train as he is really smart. unfortunatly there wer many puppies there this time so the older dogs were getting overlooked. the other dog that stole my soul was 8 month old oz. he has the rough-tough puppy look i love and he is extremely smart, well-behaved, and cuddly. he has been in fostering for his whole life (which is much better than shelters because he gets training and human contact) so he really needs a permanent home. i’d take him in a heartbeat if three dogs weren’t too much for a little townhouse.

i told danny what his birthday gift is since it will arrive in a few days and he’d need to buy something if he wanted to use it right away. i tracked down a new hood for his big aquarium (as seen in this old pic). when my kitten was a baby he fit easily through the railings. he was fond of playing with mice up on the 3rd floor and one day i hear a woosh as he goes sliding after the mouse and a crash as he hit the aquarium that is at the bottom of the opening in our stairwell. the first time he had to go to the vet because he cut his gums and was breathing funny. he turned out to be fine, but the plastic screws that hold the hood to the hood base were broken. a month or so later the same thing happened, but since the hood wasn’t attached right it crashed to the floor and shattered the light fixture. ivan was fine but the fish have been sans light for months. the cats have just recently been allowed to roam the house at night since ivan is no longer small enough to fall through the railings.

petco stopped carrying the aquarium since we bought it in 1999. i did online reasearch until i found a company in california that carried all sorts of parts for that brand. i ordered him the same hood (because it thankfully had an part number) and i bought him a $2 pack of extra screws (since those were the first thing to break). he bought a light bulb for it while we were out, so it should be ready to go as soon as it arrives. we are amazed the 3 fish he has right now are okay. it will be nice to actually see them again and perhaps get some new ones.

uh, so back to my saturday. when we got home i went up to bed pretty much right away and slept from 4 to 9pm. ahhh sleeep. i did a cam show at 11pm. our temp housemate (a coworker of danny’s who needed a place to stay while looking for something nearer to work) just got home and said he found a place and will be moving tomorrow. i plan to do chores and site work tonight. perhaps some work on the cross stitch chart i am making for my aunt – it is going to be scanned in for he new site design once it is stitched. i have to bath the dogs in the morning. it will peobably still be too early (they get LOUD when they are wet and happy) since it is a sunday, but better then then in the middle of the night. we’ll see i guess. danny may think it better to wait till right after i wake up in the evening.
