  1. Drive at your own risk

When I first arrived here I was amazed at how people drove. In my first big excursion here I was told everyone drives defensively, and that comment holds true each and every time I’m out there. Imagine driving a highway, and the car in front of you signals (signals, there’s a rarity) to move into the next lane, but at the same time they’re doing this, they don’t want to relinquish the lane they’re leaving, and in driving defensively you’re now engaged in a real-time deathrace 2000 to use the lane that this person is leaving to enter the other one.

Getting directions is always a challenge too. Most attendants at your local 24/7 don’t even live in the same area, and your only hope is that someone in the store who lives in the area will step up and show kindness.

    Kindness….hmmm, there’s a whole other story..
