I need a vacation so bad… But, we have one coming up in less than a week! Our dear friends Mel & Johnathan are going to fly out here, then we are all going to drive to the Outer Banks. We are renting the beautiful beach house right on the ocean for a week. We love the Outer Banks! We’ve never stayed longer than a weekend before because we’ve never been able to rent a house on the beach and have friends to share it with before.

Yesterday I found a newbikini at Old Navy for the trip. I am not used to the teenie string bikinis, but I love the ethnic look of it and olive/orange are favorite colors of mine. Yey for size xs! I’ve always had the worst time finding swim tops that didn’t fall off me.

Last night, I spent 6 hours painting two coats of “twilight gray” on the walls of the guest room. It is so peaceful and pretty now. there was a horrible country wallpaper border in the before. I still need to paint the trim and touch up the ceiling, but that can wait. We got new bedding at Target. Once that is washed and on the bed, and perhaps after I find something for the walls, I’ll take an official “after” photo.

So much to do before they arrive, on top of a full work load! I can’t wait to be at the beach!
