Try to get her to behave when I am around. Thats all I ever get from the princess, slobbery kisses and more slobbery kisses. Fo shizzle. She is quite adorable when is not being a butt.

her nails are really long. They will probably bleed(which does NOT hurt them)when they are cut. Being black nails you can’t see where the vein is. My black lab was the same way too. I used to have to wrestle him to the ground outside to clip his nails which were like bear claws. I think the loud crunch is what scared him. Anyway the nails would always bleed but I used this powder that I would get from “Feeder’s Supply” which you would put in the end and the powder would help stop and clot the bleeding. It was a battle but the nails HAD to be cut. My dog now chews her nails and is very active and keeps her nails worn down from running on the blacktop. She is black with black nails also.

Unfortunately, it takes 4 people to cut her nails at the vet – 3 to hold her and 1 to cut. We are trying to get her used to it, but we can only do one nail (and only if we catch her off-guard). Her quicks are long, but they are getting shorter. I have them cut with every vet trip, so that is shortening them. She is due for a vet trip… as you can probably tell from her talons.
