Hello!

So, I am finally scheduled to be back at my desk doing my real job (graphic designer) instead of running the afternoon daycare shift. It was great being with the dogs and customers again, but my work has been piling up. I am now trying to make my way through the backlog.

This post is going to be all over the place… I can already tell.

Saturday night Danny and I went to Tool. OMG! m/ I’m not sure what else to say, besides that they kicked some serious ass.

I was hoping to go to Iowa to visit my grandparents for my Grandpa’s 90th birthday. Unfortunately, tickets to Iowa are insanely expensive. It would be $800 for Danny and I to fly there, and that doesn’t include hotel or renal car. We could fly to California and pay for a hotel stay with that much money! Seriously, it’s Iowa. Why so expensive. We don’t have time to drive out there right now, because that would add 14 hours to each end of the trip. I guess I just have to keep an eye on airfare to the midwest. I really want to see them before it is too late. They are getting older, and I haven’t seen them in years…

I hate those emails that friends forward you. You know the ones – where you have to scroll down through 5 pages of forwarding headers before you get to the actual content. But, the forward I got today was pretty cute. Since I refuse to forward it on, I pasted it into a web page (and cleaned up the bad grammar as best I could – I have terrible grammar skills, but I do at least know the difference between you and your.) This weekend, I am hoping to go apple-picking! Mmm, autumn! Apple cider, pumpkins, crunchy leaves, crisp air… I am pondering going to the Renaissance Festival before it ends for the year, but I am undecided. I’m not up for any confusing, long drives, and Danny has no interest at all in going.

I haven’t done this in years, but I am feeling nostalgic for the times I was able to slack off at work at post all day long:

– home-brewed wild orange iced tea
– sandwich super chunky peanut butter on apple danish bread)
– jalapeño cheddar potato chips
– gala apple

Now that my schedule is less crazy, I want to get caught up on both my Stvlive.com updates and re-braiding my hair. Last night I got 10 braids redone. The back braids are all dreaded where they roots have grown in, so I kept breaking my comb. Oops.

I am still playing Animal Crossing on my DS. I haven’t had any visitors to my town since my AC buddy when back to college. Anyone up for a visit? I am trying to save up my Amazon gift certificate money to get a pink DS lite before they go out of stock. My regular DS is clunky, and I have a really hard time seeing the dim screen. I still have a lot of saving to do before I can get it.
