stephanie is: haveing trouble sleeping haveing trouble sleeping…
i am laying in bed and the sun is coming up. my laptop was still up here from when i was trying to do work from bed. i can’t seem to shut off my mind and go to sleep.

i am not dealing with stimpy’s absence as well as i thought i would. we had been looking around for a home without other animals to move him to since he was so miserable here. we had hoped dan’sbrother would take him since they loved each other but he didn’t want to deal with the cat hair.

we were still looking and i thought i’d do okay when the time came since he was danny’s cat. but i get so damn attached to everthing and can’t seem to deal with change. i keep thinking how he isn;t here anymore and i want to be selfish and run to the vet to take him home. but then what? we’d pay the $1k medical bills to get him healthy then he’d go back to being miserable and hating the other cats and acting out because of it.

i think it is easy to be selfish when it comes to an animal since they can’t complain. i’m finding out it is terribly difficult sometimes to try to do what is best for them. he deserves to be happy and healthy. after liveing with him for 3 of his 5 years i know quite well he is not happy here. but why does this have to be so hard on me?

  1. hmm

    sorry to hear.
    jope you get better soon.
    :/
btw are you thinking about giving an other cat a new home in return..since now there is an empty place again. maybe adopting a homeless kitten at the shelter or something?
    🙂

  2. Stimpys absence

It is hard because we get attached to animals, they become a part of our lives and we love them =)i have two kitties and I just love thme so and everytime one gets sick think this is the end for him! They become liek children to us, that is why it is so hard!

  3. I sent through pretty much the same thing that you are with one of MY cats, and I cried for days. All the true pet lovers really understand this.

Maybe you can ask your vet if he can let you know who adopts your cat? And maybe you can ask how he’s doing once he’s gone? (That way, if something doesn’t work out with Stimpy in his new home, maybe you can get him back from these adoptees and not get stuck with the vet bill?! Wouldn’t THAT be great! Although it wouldn’t solve his one-cat-family problem…)
