well i finally got to sleep after the today show started. i hate insomnia. perhaps i was worrying about our kitty… i know one one the thoughts i couldn’t get out of my head was “what if he dies overnight?” i had asked danny if they had someone there watching the animals overnight and he wasn’t sure.
so the latest news on stimpy-cat: his potasium level is down to 6 (from 9). i think danny said 3-5 is the normal. he produced a lot of pee overnight, still with blood, but that is normal. they are expecting to remove his cathetor tomorrow then hold him most of the day to see if he can peepee on his own. so all your kind thoughts seem to be paying off so far.
in other news, we had a small birtch tree planted in december of 2000 by our neiborhood association. they sure charge us enough fees to take care of our tree and shrubs. well last year most of the trees on the stree grew leaves while ours never did. one day i came home and they had cut it into a 2-foot-high stump. ack! i know they do that to make them grow again, but they did ours the shortest and i had no hope of that tree making it. well it was like that forever. recently it has had a red tag tied to it. some other cut-off ones on our street had tags, but ours was the only red. this morning danny says “look outside”. i look outside to see a fresh tree planted in our yard… and it is as tall as me while i am standing on the second floor! so for now with have the uber tree of the street instead of the ugly stump.
i am hungry, i think.
heh…i remember this post. this was a big event when you first moved into the place.
