  1. Wow, they look good! Is that all your natural hair? Mine wouldn’t hold up so well in braids. I can see why it was so time consuming as well! Er, I also wouldn’t be able to sleep on them, so I will never have cool hair. Hardcore props to you *devil sign*

  2. did you braid synthetic hair into those? they’re so even on the bottoms n stuffs. i should try that with my hair sometime, wonder if i still have the binders from my braces …

    • yea – i used “jumbo braid” hair. i just aimed for my boobs to make them all sort of even. i did have some in the back that were way too long – i just fixed them when i was all done.

i got clear snagless rubber bands from the drug store – they are a lot like rubber bands for braces – just a bit bigger.

        • i thought it would be hard, but it was easy for me. i am pretty good at braiding though. the hard part was trying to part little squares into the back of my head (don’t look! hehe). the hair comes in a 60″ peice that is folded in half. you wrap the peice around your own, then start braiding the two bits of fake hair and one bit of your hair – using a lot of pinching to get it tight. then split the fake hair and real hair evenly to three and braid to the end.

  3. “Wow Punquin”!!……..

You look really hott in your braids…of course your beautiful anyway but i like the braided hair look on you too!…:o)

  4. hey, steph.. the braids look great! amazing that you were able to do them so well on your first try..

i have one suggestion as a longtime fake hair braid girl.. don’t know if you did this.. but if you dip the fake ends of your hair into boiling water (get a friend to help), it will keep loose ends from popping out, will make the braids very smooth and straight, and it will also seal the ends. dip your hair into the pot of water, dunk for about 7 seconds, then take a towel and run it down your hair as you pull gently. good luck!

    • yea i did read you could mekt the ends, but i like the rubberband look – 40% of people think this is my real hair braided! hehe. i like that i can easily take them out to replace and tighten them.
