stephanie is: not ready for short hair…
i can’t do it. not yet. i don’t want short hair. so for now i go with the trimming method. i just trimmed off the damaged parts (only the longer ripped parts still had damage) and cut an inch off my hair in a straight line. now all my hair feels healthy. there is a very obvious chunk missing. danny looked it over just now and it is hard for him to miss now that he knows it is there. he thinks if i cut my hair to the longer damaged length (chin-length) the rest (which is an inch or so shorter) may stand out more. for now that hair blends in well as it curves around to where my neck starts. its just that dang hole in the long part of my hair. i’ll try to keep it super healthy and keep trimming away for a while. i’ll be stuck with hair about this length but it will slowly get closer to even. soon i will be able to braid it and i can do that all the time, heehee.
yes, i’ll cut it all off if the damage gets worse. but i think the fuzz balls that came off today were the last of it (except the bit i just now cut off). i hop i hope.
enough hair talk i say! i am going to go add pictures to the galleries!
speaking from a girl with long hair
I couldn’t cut it either Steph! It takes my hair so long to grow and I hate even trimming mine. Mine is bra length and My husband trims mine for me. I just can’t justify spending 40 bucks to have my hair trimmed. *sigh*
Don’t do it!!! You would be cute with short hair, no doubt, but in the long run, and I see you are like me, it takes so long to grow back.
(Ok you want me to come over there and trim it for ya??) hehe! :o)
Just bear with it for a few months. Just think of it like this……you haven’t ever had to deal with this before, it will get better! see where it goes and if it isn’t better in a few months then do something about it then! Bottom line?….You still look adorable and you can compensate! Thats what I would do. I couldnt cut mine after having it long for so long. It’s scary doing that to you hair. I know!
Re: speaking from a girl with long hair
thanks š
now walk behind me so no one can see the hole!
hehe
Re: speaking from a girl with long hair
:o) gladely! *walks behind Steph to cover the chewed pieces*
I know how it is tho Steph. I had a pot pourri thingie blow up in my face and I lost my bangs my eye brows and eyelashes. They all grew back THANK GOD cuz I would look pretty funny walking around with no eyebrows and eyelashes.
Anyway…the hair will get better. Don’t cut it tho! you have beautiful hair and so what..you have a few short strands in the back. :o) Braid it, pony tail it, curl it..whatever but don’t cut it. It will get better in a few months.
I guess I am just speaking from experience. It just takes me so damn long to grow mine and you sound just like me. I want mine waist length too! I have wanted it like that for years now and I think I may never get mine that long but I an in hopes. Just bear with it for a few more months Steph and see where it goes. You may be surprised. We still ove the way you look! even if you were BALD! Hmmmmm…thats’ a thought! :o)
You need to take a better vitamin supplement to make your hair grow better, stronger, faster (yes! we have the technology…)
Try vitaminshoppe.com My hair is fine and used to break and frizz all the time. Now I take a good vitamin and calcium supplement (and tons of other stuff). My hair is nice and bouncy healthy!
*hugs* for you and hopes that your hair grows fast.
BTW – my fingernails are still as fragile as your hair is. I cannot grow my nails at all!! *grrr*
Yeah, I had long hair (down to the middle of my shoulders) and it took me a while to convince myself to do it.
but once i did, i was really happy with it.
hair
I don’t think you need to cut your hair to chin length, but 1 inch doesn’t seem to be enough. You might want to cut it to shoulder length with a few layers, so the damaged part doesn’t stand out.
Your puppies are cute.
