stephanie is: full full…

i am full from danny’s stir fry. *burp*

when i was cleaning up i mentioned i need to make a hair cutting appointment (*sniff*). danny said “DON’T cut off your hair!”. gah, like i want to! i want waist-long hair! but it isn’t going to happen if i go bald first. i asked him if he has seen how bad it is and he said no. so i took down my hair and showed him. it is bad. he didn’t say anything else except to agree that i shouldn’t go to a cheap hair cuttery. we both know i am going to look like crap till it grows longer again.

wanna see as well? i took this in the bathroom mirror (yes that is my tinkerbell towel, shutup). this is what happens when a hyper puppy bites the middle of your braided hair and yanks. click the picture for full size.

the majority of the short bits are the length of what i am holding away from my head – about an inch into a low ponytail. there are a few brave hairs that have only lost a few inches so far but i am noticing more hair in my comb from them lately. that big crease is cause my hair has been pulled back. ignore that.

<whine>i want long hair…</whine>

  1. Actually, I think you might look really good with short hair. And that’s not even that short, maybe chin length? They could make it all layery and cute.

My hair is really long and I always think I want waist-length hair, but it’s so straight that it just lays there and looks stringy. I am thinking about cutting it again.

    • you and me both! I have been wanting to do something with my hair for a while. It have all pretty much one length and almost to my waist. I am bored with it, sigh……..

    • my hair is super super straight and slippery/shiney so it doesn’t do anything no matter how short it is (though the shortest i’ve had it is shoulder length in highschool). i’ve always been fond of it being long and smooth.

i’ll need to constult with someone no matter what i do. i definatly don’t want to go crazy with layers cause my ultimate goal is hair that is pretty much all one length. i need to make sure i am good and stubborn when i go.

hopefully i can find a salon that has an opening with a good stylist this century!

  2. i would suggest getting ur hair cut.. i doubt it would look bad..it’d probably be real cute.
i couldn’t see living w/ my hair tied back for monthes n monthes and cutting it now and then waiting for it to grow.
at least if you cut it you can still do cute things w/ it (leave down, braid, ponytails..)

i’ve been growing my hair out i guess, but i know it will get long.. the thing is when it gets long, i cut it real short.. then i wish i didn’t do it and grow it again.. it’s a dumb process of me growing my hair til it’s long, then cutting it, then growing long again..
my point is just that even if you did have long hair you’d probably end up wanting it shorter a few monthes later..

anyways, that turned out to be long ๐Ÿ˜ก sorry..
i should be working on a paper so i will go do that.. g/l w/ the hair ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. After the hair cut, you may look like a lot of things, but crap won’t one of ’em ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, mebbe if you cut off all of your hair and get tattoos all over your head, but I kinda doubt that’s gonna happen!

If they could do real hair transplants (like a whole head of hair between people), I’d trade with ya anyday. I have curly hair and it annoys the shit out of me, so I keep it back in a ponytail almost all of the time.

Don’t worry about it, you’ll look as cute as usual with short hair ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I would cut it. I know you’ve been trying to grow it out, but you need to even that out in the back. That’s a lot to cut, though. My suggestion would be to hit the bookstore and check out hair and fashion mags to find a cut that you think you could live with while it grows out. Not only will a new cut even out your hair, if you take off the dead stuff on the ends you’ll be making more progress towards growing it out than if you just let it grow and then find out you have 6 or 8 inches of split ends to chop off anyway.

Also, if you can, take lots of Vitamin E. I’ve always found that taking a high dose every day helps my hair to grow like a weed. Good luck!

  5. We guys just seem to like long hair, that’s why we say don’t cut it. As for you “looking like crap”, sorry Steph, just not possible.

I know you don’t want the shorter hair but you obviously don’t like the current condition. Do what you gotta do to make yourself feel better.

  6. cut the hair off at your shoulders or above. It will look much much better and you could try a different style and have fun with it. Then it will grow back all one length.
