stephanie is: ehn…
hm. so i did have tummy pains this morning from the jalapeños i ate last night. it wasn’t fun when they came out. but then i was still in pain. worse pain actually. turns out my period started a day or two early. ow! i didn’t take meds before the pain kicked in like i am supposed to so i was hurting bad for another hour while i waited for them to work. i crawled into bed and started crying so hard i could only point to what was wrong. that sucked. china was very worried. but the meds are working well enough now and i am glad it is here because that means it won’t be on the 19th when i have a photoshoot with a livejournal friend.
danny is making stir-fry tonight. hopefully both of our tummies will be happy about that.
china threw up her breakfast and just now threw up a little yellow liquid. i don’t want to give her dinner just to have her throw it up again – any suggestions?
aw poor puppy..does she eat super fast? when i lived with my parents we had lots of big doggies and sometimes they would scarf down their food to fast and get sick. maybe just give her a smaller portion and see how she does..
she has eaten really slow since we got the puppy… hm
barfin’ puppies
Hey Steph it’s Rebecca 🙂
It’s probably the weather….believe it or not, my dog does the same thing. After the last trip to the vet, they told me it’s probably allergies. They told me to feed her instant rice boiled in chicken boullion for a day or so. Try that and see what happens…
Re: barfin’ puppies
well we have rice from dinner tonight (it isn’t instant rice – is that bad? hehe) but in a house of vegitarians we have no chicken boullion…
Re: barfin’ puppies
I understand 🙂 The only problem is you have to season it with the boullion for the to eat it. The only other way is to mix it with egg, or an egg substitute, maybe thin some peanut butter (not much) and mix it in.
Re: barfin’ puppies
she eats plain rice just fine. i’ve been there and done that with her.
Re: barfin’ puppies
A dog named China that eats rice. Next you’ll be telling us she uses chopsticks.
Kita does that sometimes, and the vet told me it was normal as long as she wasnt getting sick after every meal..He just told me they get upset tummies just like peoples and not to worry too much..
Did you feed the dog some jalape?os? That could be the problem.
doh! hehe
Hrm, blake throws up like that every once in a while, usually if he has eaten something he is not supposed to (like q-tips! ARGH!) or sometimes when he runs around too quickly after eating his food. I’d probably just give her a little bit less for dinner and see how she does. If she is still sick then I’d feed her rice and perhaps call the vet if she can’t even keep that down. It’s sweet that China was worried about you, hehe, Blake does that too. If I’m upset he won’t leave me alone… he keeps trying to sit on me and lick me to make it better. (eek!)
Doggy Tummies
When my dogs are sick to their stomach, I feed them some chicken breast and rice… it calms their stomach down while giving them the protein they need. Dogs are not herbivores – they’re supposed to eat meat.
