damn, it feels like africa out there. hot hot hot. so, off india and i went to the vet. danny said i HAD to go to the one we take china to (it is a multi-practice) cause he rocks socks – and he does! we got there early to fill out her forms. every single vet tech and vet had to come out a coo and squeeze and kiss, hehe. she was an angel durring her checkup. perfectly healthy. she just had her first shots and heartworm last week so she is good for 4 weeks. they taught me how to clean her ears twice a week since her breeds have smaller ear canals. no problem – i love grooming my furries.

the two things i asked about were regarding young puppies since we resucued china a little older. about her sometimes wobbly walk and her mouthiness (is that a word?). both normal and i am doing the right thing for the chewing (distracting her from the no-chewable things with a chew toy – even when it means holding it for her at 4am, hehe). so she is doing great!
she got more kisses on the way out cause word had spread to the vet techs in the very back, hehe. only $40 today. i was expecting to pay more this first month so instead i headed out to the petstore around the corner and got her a name tag (little purple heart) and a crate (good for a doogie between a shar-pei and a rotti… HUGE for her now). ima go take a look at the bedroom layout after i eat.
i have 2 hours of contract work to do by c.o.b.
i can’t handle the cute-ness! i wish i could reach through the screen to cuddle with her! everyone is getting puppies..i am getting the itch for another.

Puppies wobble all over the place .. its really cute.
Some dogs are mouthy .. they like toys. It he gets something he shouldn’t take it away, say NO, and give him one of his toys. They pick up on it pretty quick. My beast ALWAYS has a chew toy … wanting to play tug-a-war.
But WOW … I bet he is going to be a biggie .. heh
hi! I ran across your LJ and saw the pictures of your gorgeous puppy and had to comment 🙂
We have a German Shepherd/Rottie mix at home ourselves and I have to say I am surprised at how sweet and intuitive he is. I was worried about two naturally agressive breeds being mixed but Sequoia, despite a rough start, quickly proved my worries wrong. 🙂 He is gentle to children, playful, and all around sweet.
The only possible troubles are hip displacia (sp?) which is common in the rotties and shepherds, but your vet prolly told you about that 🙂

rotties and shepards are amazingly smart sweet dogs. but they have the physical ability to be agressive so you must train and love them from birth…
Exactly. 🙂 The more socialized they are and the more interacted with they are, the better. And once they are part of the family, they are definately sweet and loyal for life.
She is soooooooo cute!!! I just want to roll around and wrestle with her, and cuddle her, and hug her, and kiss her…
