Thought you might have been playing the game “Battle Ship” and you were particularly excited about your well placed shot…
I occasionally talk on the telephone to a woman that likes to inject “Kai??” after every few sentences. She doesn’t pronounce it “Okay” but more like “Ky” so it rhymes with sky. I get so tired of hearing it that I start asking her “What??” every time she says it hoping that she will catch the drift that it sounds so stupid. But she’s sooo stupid that she says “I was saying Okay, kai??”
I guess people twist the spelling and/or pronounciation around because they think it sounds “cute.” Maybe it does to some other people but not to me. I have a hard enough time understanding regular grown up speech through my implants. Throw in a grown-up trying to talk like a baby and I can’t make out the difference between shit and shinola.
