stephanie is: moody moody…

i am never a moody person. i am always either happy or sad. this crying-every-other-hour shit is getting old. someone please come smack the funk out of me?

i need to cheer up and distract myself. i think i will go take chinabean for a walk to clear my head then do site work. i like site work.

i took down the chat log and deleted a couple comments – simply because it was taken out of context and i didn’t mean for danny to look mean. he has been nothing but sweet. sorry :

  1. It will go away- it’s just alienating and uncomfortable and scary… I got “let go” a year ago this week and it turned out to be a very good thing when I thought it was really devastating at the time… Hang in there- things will definitely look up for you- it’s just that the first few days are just goofy, moody and bring feelings that are bizarre. Take a break- treat yourself to some of your favorite things- make a different routine so that you’re not haunted by your old one…

Hang in there! Cry, scream, dance around, throw things, then take a little break to play with a critter and after all that, then you can think about what to do next…

  2. You are very talented and I KNOW you will get another job quickly and the mortgage will get paid. At least you can take pride in the fact that you didn’t do anything to get laid off..it’s just company downsizing…you didn’t do anything wrong. Just keep telling yourself that πŸ™‚

  3. I know this will sound like a lame cliche, but I’ve learned that the end of one job nearly always leads to the beginning of a better one. Trust me…years later, you’ll thank God things worked out as they did. Feel better?

  4. code of the west

Sorry no smacking of the ladies. Code of the west and all……

How ’bout big comforting hugs instead?

  5. hi steph

once again… I’m starting with “you don’t know me from adam, but…” When I very very first saw stv – let alone the old jennicam – I started realizing just how wrapped up in a virtual friends emotions you can become ‘specially when you can see them.

I sincerily hope you get past being bummed and on to the part where you get a better job. And there is just zero doubt that you will.

My heart goes out to you and I’m sure Dan IS gonna slap’ya’round (*j/k) for all them tears.. πŸ˜€

    peace all over you girlli.

  6. i am so freaking jealous. I would give just about anything to be laid off from my job. IT would give me the purrfect excuse to be a home monster and live in the house that i work so hard to pay for. That, and i’d fell happier when i WAS there because I wouldn’t feel like such a slave to it. That and you’ve got to know you’re talented. You had something like 100 people tell you so. that and freelance clients are much easier to find than you’d think. All it takes is one person (who owns a business) to tell someone else (who owns a business).

That, and there’s always unemployment. Get back some of those taxes you’ve been paying to uncle sam.

  7. See you like that breaks my heart.
Gawd, girl. Don’t let them do that! If they “let you go” this doesn’t mean you have to let go as well!
Pleeeze. Pleeeeeeeeze. Be a little be happier.
I’m sure things just will be fine.
    A big hug.

  8. cry all you want punquin…

when you’ve cried enough you will move on. I’ve been with my current employer almost 14 years and now i live here too. I cant imagine living or working anywhere else. To be laid off or fired or to put in my notice to leave and move to another job would probably be really hard, i really dont want to think about it and ill be 47 next month.
