i feel like crawling into bed and pulling the covers up tight over my head. i don’t know why… i just feel drained – my heart and mind more so than my body.

I don’t blame you for feeling that way. What happened with your kittykat was upsetting. Its sad when stuff happens to our furry friends because they can’t tell us how they feel- we just have to guess and worry about em.
