stephanie is: groggy groggy…

oof! travel day! we woke up earlies and got ready for the airport. danny’s brother mark drove us to the airport (which is like 10 minutes away) since he was on his way to work at the time anyway. he dropped us at the delta area and we went and checked in. on the first flight – to atlanta – i had an isle seat and danny had the middle. it was pretty short and i couldn’t take any pictures out the window since i was so far from it.

we had an hour or two layover in atlanta. we wanted to eat some good food, but there was only food court crap in the international terminal. i had greasy bread sticks from pizza hut. we went into the duty frr store because i had realized this morning that i have no face sunscreen – just spf15 with bug-spray for my body. i found some lancome spf60 (60! sheesh!) for $24 (ow!!). i pad and they gave me a reciept and said i would get it at the gate. we had to fill out imigration and customs forms while we waited to board the second flight.

the second flight was much longer. we were stuck at the first row behind first class ?(the bulkhead) which meant our bags had to be stowed for most of the flight. i had the middled and danny had the isle. there was a college kid in the window seat. he kept laughing outload at nothing.. hmm… nice enough though. i just read my book, the red tent.

when we arrived in cancun we were shuffled towards imigration. ugh. if i belived in hell, it would be very simular to that. hot hot hot with hundreds of people pushing around in a big clusterfuck and ignoring the queues. it prolly only took 30 minutes to get through, but it felt like hours.

our bags were just sitting on the floor of the baggage area when we were finally done. we went through customs without even having to put our bags through the scanner. we gave our transportation voucher to the right guy, and after waiting for a couple other people we headed off in a van. it was sprinkling and cooler than in the airport which was refreshing.

our resort is huge and secluded – much closer to the airpor tthan most of them so the trip wasn’t too long. everything is beutious here. we showered once we made it to our room ( we had to talk to all these people about tours and special honeymoon stuff first). the water is smelly cause of the purification process. we walked around part of the complex and came to an outdoor buffet. all food and drinks are included here so we just grabbed food and sat down to eat. we will be spoiled!

our room is great! a beautiful view of the ocean, a jacuzzi, huge shower (bathroom: 1, 2, 3), a huge (hard) bed…

i am sleepy now, night night…
