so i called 3 lenscrafters stores when i got home and the third one had a 7:30 appointment open. after stopping at fedex (out cancun tickets arrived- woo!) we drove out to that mall (right by my work actually). the eye doctor and technicians were very nice. i told them i had been having headaches like crazy and they i only wear my contacts once a month so i wanted to switch to the one-day-wear contacts (i was throwing out the 2-week ones cause they would dry out being stored for a month after one wear). i did the whole normal exams stuffs, and it turned out my prescription needed to be changed badly… my eyesight got better!

two years ago i had -3.00/-2.75, then in 1999 i had -2.75/-2.75. now just over a year later i have -2.25/-2.25!! no wonder i was getting wicked headaches! rock! i hope my eyes keep getting better, cause i don’t ever want to get that scarey laser surgery.

anyway that made me happy happy. the lady in the actual lenscrafters store was “special”. she was very pushy and annoying. it felt like i was trying to buy a car- not new lenses for my glasses and sunglasses. i wanted to get anti-glare but it was $70. ow, um no… and it would have cost like $20 more to just get replacment lenses in my sunglasses instead of a completely new pair. she gave me 2 minutes to chose a frame from their cheap-o ones cause it was an hour from closeing. we wasted an hour and i got a toiletries bag that was more than i was expecting, but it will hold danny’s stuffs too. then we picked up my glasses. i haven’t tried them yet (except for fit) cause i have a sample pair of one-day contacts in.

i have an appointment next monday at 1:15pm to go back to the eye doctor and make sure the contacts are still fitting right (since i switched types). i have to remember to wear the contacts at least 3 hours before that appointment.

zoom! zoom! happy eyes! woo! hehe… okay i go now…
