stephanie is: feeling poor feeling poor.

bleh! i am trying to get my $250 from hr for refering an employee a year ago… i could use the money! the money in my checking account is equal to the money that is due on my visa card at the end of the month. my next paycheck is in a week but it goes entirely to bills and mortgage. then the paycheck at the end of the month goes towards visa and more money to dan for the honeymoon. bah! money is LAME. i wish my site was up so i could try to make money from it. i wish the t1 was up so we could try to host sites on it and do some freelance. i knew money would be tight now with paying for the honeymoon and stuff. ah well. no firebites for me till, like, april…

in the spirit of wishful thinking, i shall go update my clothing wishlists during lunch. there is one at victoria’s secret (pass: stvlive) and one at delias (pass: Arendal articulated Tappy) and one at gap.

I hope that everything works out for you regarding your finances and getting from HR. Although I am currently working customer service (but planning for a career in graphics) I know how things can be when it comes to hr…..

    Take care and stay up.

      Being poor?
We are very, very, par from being poor. It’s quite the opposite, the more money you make, the more expenses you have.

Yes Neko, being “poor”, in the sense that I believe you are using the word (not having money or the means to make it and being unable to pay for basic neccesities – food, shelter, clothing) sucks.
Being voluntarily indebted and lacking “mad money” is an entirely different beast.

      • Re: yes..

i’m confused…hehe! but i was just saying that not being able to pay for rent and bills and food and stuph sucks..that is what i meant πŸ™‚

Sorry for the convoluted sentence (Bad sentence! Bad, bad sentence!)

The point I was making was that some people seem to complain about being poor when thier “poorness” is a result of their spending money on things that they don’t absolutely need and then have large debts. The person that can afford a Geo Metro but buys a Lexus is in this category. (I don’t consider this poorness.)

Actual “poorness”, the kind you describe about yourself, is the inability to pay for your basic neccesities. I’ve been there and that does really suck!!

I was hoping some of the other people saw that post so they could see the distinction. πŸ™‚

  3. heh..

most people would love to be as “poor” as you are.

    no offense.

i work at a homeless shelter, so i guess my perspective is a bit different.

hope everything works out for you anyway.
