stephanie is: excited excited!

so yey! we are getting married on saturday, march 17th 2001 (yes we just realized that is st patricks day – guess i’ll be getting pinched cause i’ll be in all white, hehe). then on the 19th we will leave for cancun, where we will stay here in a room with a balcony, double jacuzzi, wine, and fruit in room on arrival, honeymoon cocktail hour, 1 tour of something, all meals… till the 24th. monday and tuesday after we get back we have fun changing my name and car stuffs…

so there you have it. after being engaged since sept 15th 1999, we have dates! and guess what – you are all invited! well to the wedding at least… hehe. i shall have it live online – t1 or not.

now we are to the detail part. we have a marrage person lined up and waiting for times… and i guess our relatives would like to know, hehe. woo!

    Hope you guys have tons of fun! I just wanted to remind you to check out your policies on name change cause it took me a 2 weeks after the wedding to get my marriage certificate back with the official copies. And unfortunatley you can’t change any name stuff here without the official copies. But I’m in NJ so it may be different.

    Congratulations and good luck! Cancun is so beautiful.. we went last year and I can’t wait to go back! Maybe for my honeymoon, if that ever happens. hehe. Just be verrrrrrrrry careful in the sun! I’m pale also and I burned to a nice shade of purple.. ending up having to spend an entire day in bed. 🙁

    Don’t forget the marriage license. My brother’s wedding almost didn’t happen because they forgot.

    So… CONGRATULATION!!! I’m so happy for you both, you make such a great couple!
    And about the honeymoon… wow… so romantic…

    It’s so funny the way you went like “oh yeah! I remember now! I gotta get married!”.
    Here in Italy it takes months to decide everything about a wedding, and I guess the poor bride ends up by hating the whole thing in the attempt to make it perfect (usually perfect for the relatives, because everyone feels like saying his 2 cents):-)

    So I think if I’m ever goin to get married I’ll take you as an example 😉

  27. Congrats…. and some tips…

    Congrats to both of you… Being through this recently here are some tips…

    Duct tape! Trust me… you think it is a hick thing but… you can even fix a ripped tux with it! 🙂

    On the name changing stuff… lock one copy of your marriage certificate up but the other copy carry with you that day… along with every other form of ID you have. The easiest way we figured out after asking around is to change your name on your drivers license first (and keep your old one for several months so if you have to prove you were yourself before the name change)

    You would never believe how many places you have to prove that you were that other name before… 🙁

    Once you have that done then do your bank accounts and get the new signature registered for the accounts. Until then sign your old name because some of the banks are really anal about it being only a “registered” signature on checks and such.

    Then social security department. You can prefill out the form by downloading the PDF from http://www.ssa.gov/replace_sscard.html

    Beyond that it is just go through your purse/wallet and start knocking off card by card… library… work id…. blah blah blah…

    Anyways…. congrats again and I hope this helps you out…

  28. Okay, I know this is probably the zillionth time you’ve heard this but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

    You’re the second person I know getting married this Saint Patricks Day. The others I know here in Boston are both Irish so that’s gonna wind up to be a drunken fun fest I’m sure. *giggle*

    In any case, I hope to catch your wedding on replay or something then.

  30. well, ok this is a late comment to this post, but YAY
    I’m getting married on March 25th (I’m in australia so it’s a sunday) we’re heading off to Bali for 12 days for our honeymoon.. cannot wait.
    I know the been engaged a long time feeling well, we’ve been engaged since June 4th 99.
