  1. I feel your pain as I am on a dial up as well. I have always been on a dial up. In the last year I have been on a 56K and before that it was only a 33K!! That was VERY painful.

  2. Not one of the lucky ones…..

Nothing faster than 56k in my area……I can’t believe it.
So..I rarely..if ever check my mail from home…….and if I do..I let it go before I go to bed. Someone always sends me attachments….the one I don’t trust…trash!

  3. i hate that. I’m always getting .exe files.

1st – macs do not open them
2nd – i wouldn’t run an exe file from someone i don’t know anyway. sheesh!

  4. just thought you’d like to know…

that there is a nice program for the Mac called Mail Syphon that will let you check and delete messages BEFORE downloading them (there is a similar program for PC called PegasusMail, but I don’t know what the web addy is for it) so if you keep having huge attachments sent to you, you can check your mail in Mail Syphon, find the big file, see what the attachment name is, and iff needed delete it without spending all that time downloading it… course, if you already knew about these then I just blabbed on pointlessly… anywhooo, I just thought you might find this program usefull (and it’s only $15 shareware)

    ciao
