stephanie is: surrounded by bunniez! surrounded by bunniez!

after work today we went out to petsmart to get minibun a big new cage with a slide-out poop pan. they can’t live together in the new hutch yet. bun pulled out a chunk of the baby’s fur between her shoulderblades cause she isn’t ready. if you are interested in more details, read this. it is pretty much exactly what i have to deal with. so i have a huge new hutch for the baby, and only $50. i set up a little second story in the corner and she already adores zooming up and down it and laying underneath. bunbun is in the big wooden hutch. she has an amazing amount of room in there. i bought it for the two of them to live in together (eventually).

i put some bunny treats and gifties on the petsmart.com wishlist here on the temp site if you get the urge to send them treatiez for xmas. petsmart sells everything in their stores. i just gave bunbun her nightly ooodles of snuggles. i love to bury my face in the soft fluff behind her ears. she ruvs me and licks my nose. hopefully she will be able to bond to the baby in the same way, cause the baby fell in love with her at first sight.

i must go shower all the fur and litter itch off me now. talk to you all tomorrow!

  1. Steph- its funny you just wrote about the buns cuz I also had bunnie adventures 2day. I have never had a rabbit, but I was at the animal shelter 2day looking for a small dog to adopt, and ended up visiting with the buns a bit also. Gorgeous fur and little cottontails, too. I am not really sure which kind of animal I should get because recently I have played with some rats at the pet place and have grown fond of the rodent family ( a big shock for me) Also, the geckos are really cute, too- they move in slo-motion πŸ™‚ I have had 2 dogs and six cats, but no other kinds of pets…

It really depends what kinda companionship you are looking for. Bunnies are neat, and like to get nuzzles n stuff. The ferrets are really fun animals. Their mission in life is to play and get into as much stuff as possible. Geckos are cool to look at, but thats about it. They will let you hold them and sometimes even show signs of affection towards you. If you want a cuddlebug though, the dog is probably the best bet, depending on breed.

i still own books that have been bunny-chewed. πŸ™ buns are cute and all, but they eat everything. i never owned a bun myself, but i lived with a brother who did. i couldn’t stand keeping a bun in the cage. but then he would eat everything in sight when i let him out to play.

so a cat is a much better companion for me, personally. but i know people who just ADORE buns and really really bun proof their homes. i just don’t dig em THAT much. πŸ˜€

  2. The only time I’ve had bunnies was when I was little. I had Bonnie & Clyde. BUT, I didn’t know that we were just watching them for a man while he was out of the country for a month or so. I was heart broken. I was wondering….does the wire hurt them? Looks like it would hurt to sleep on that. But, then I guess if you put anything in there with them they’d just crap on it. Hmmm.

    • well as they get older they learn to mostly potty in one corner. bun is older enough i make try to find her something fluffy to sleep on…
