i have a belly full of pastages and bread and chocolate cake. mmmm macaroni grill.. mmm…

i went shopping with my friend from work this afternoon. i got danny some more stuff. shhh! hehe. danny got the servers hooked up. we have no dsl yet, but i will be able to connect to them locally and start uploading lots of changes so everything will be up to date when you all can see it again. my guess is that we will be back up mid december. it has been 33 days since we put in our application for dsl. they say 30-45 days. sigh.

danny is playing his guitar. i was going to watch the special on mummies but we just got home from returning a dvd and eating so i already missed an hour of it. doh. i am happy to sit here and listen to him for now. i need to shower tonight so i don’t have wet hair in the morning.

i am running out of clean underwear. i tried to do laundry today but the washer won’t run. danny says a fuse is blown. doh.

  1. Washer

I had a stupid problem when I tried to do a load of laundry right after my washer was installed in my old apartment. I pulled the little dial thing out and the washer made a noise, but I didn’t hear any water running… I looked behind the washer and made sure the hot and cold water valves were both open, which they were… Hmm, I called the service line and felt really stooooopid when I looked down at the hoses and suddenly realized what had happened. The washer had been pushed back far enough that both hoses were crimped, so of course no water would flow through. 🙂 I’ve added that to my list of things to check.

I’ve managed to never pop any of the breakers in my apartments, although I’ve done it several times at my parent’s place 🙂

We had a similar problem with our dishwasher. There was electicity runing, but no water. I couldn’t figure it out. We had the plumber in for another issue, and I asked him. He goes “did you turn on the water valve to it?” I’m like uhhhh…. I felt like a dumbass. Guess ya can’t know everything about everything. The socket for the washer is dead. I reset the breaker, but could not get any power to anything plugged into it. I’m not sure how/when it blew the circuit, but it appearantly did.
