  1. Hey, I know it seems overwhelming, I have been there many times, but you can do it. Its not as much as you think!

The way I do it is take one room at a time, usually the easiest. I pack it up, move the boxes to another room, near the door or out of the way, and just keep going. Do a room that, when you are done, you feel like you have accomplished something. Do a room or a shelf that shows makes it obvious that you have completed it.

Turn on some music. Classical usually works for me. It makes the time go faster and you can get in a groove.

Dont worry. It will get done. =)

  2. Sympathies

It’ll be ok! Try to relax and view it all in a fairly broad perspective…. this is stressful, but what will come out of it will be good. Make sure to take breaks and eat, or have gingerale for your tummy. Sounds like you’ve got my bad stress tum. Oddly enough, Tums work for me with it…

    (((hug)))

  3. I seem to recall offering to help, seeing that since it’s so cold I would rather stay indoors and stay warm, and since I’m just sitting around all day thumbing through the channels on TV until my cartoons come on at 5:00pm…..but you said that you had people helping you already…so…

    Ah well…the offer still stands..

    • well it’s hard to have people help int he packing stage cause we are throwing out a lot and no one would know what to pack and what to keep…

thanks for the offer though. danny called the moving company and told them to bring moving supplies. anything that isn’t packed by tomorrow morning they will do.

      s.

      • DAMN, well if that’s the case, just let them do the rest! Why bother killing yourself over it if they would do it otherwise!

Come over to the slacker side, steph! lol

      • In cases like this that’s where the magic of “departmentalizing” comes in. Since it is your stuff, and you know what you’re keeping and what you’re throwing away (or donating, your option), you can devote your time to sorting and others can be put to packing…

Hope all this chat doesn’t give you a headache, to accompany your queezy stomach…if so, I suggest a mild sedative. šŸ˜‰
