danny woke up and went out to buy us some doughiez.. mmm donuts… i am looking through some online job listings. i wants to make more money so life will be more comfortable after we start paying the mortgage. i don’t like change though. i’d be happy staying at the company i have been with for two years, but i doubt they would give me a 10k raise at my review in october. they have already raised me 20k since i started (though i was rediculously underpaid at the start). it’s hard – in the internet industry you almost have to change jobs in order to get the raises you need. hrm. my ideal job? all the benefits of a regular office job (salary, health, vacation, and whatnot) designing websites – but the ability to work from home most/all days of the week. that is probably too much to ask – most copanies want their employees on site. but when dan and i start having children (which has been pushed further away so we can rebuild our savings from the house-buying) i will need to be working from home to be with them. plus i just work so much better in my own environment. a million times faster, and when i can work my own hours i can do it when i hit my creative peak. who is creative at 9am after 4 hours of sleep and an hour-long commute. bleh. okay… well if you are in a company that needs a kick-ass web designer in the vienna-herndon, va area let me know. for now i shall browse the online listings some more and keep my eyes open.
whew. I thought Internet jobs are well paid. at least over here (in germany) there is a lack o good webdesigners – or mainly people to work in it jobs – so you get really (!) well paid in this business these days!
have you followed the debate lately- our german companies are now “importing” forigen (from india and usa) internet workers to cover their needs (they get something like a green card and all extras paid n stuff to work here for a certain time)…

well, if I knew of such a thingo, I would be more than happy to let you know. Myself, I am soon going to be shuffling paperwork and data in an office after 4 hours of sleep @ 9 am. Luckily, I only have a 5 minute commute!
A girlfriend of a friend of mine is working in web design here in Tacoma, WA. I don’t know what she is paid tho. Since he owns a cafe, and they both live together in a trailer court, I don’t think it’s an enormous amount, unless they are saving up to buy a home. I should look into it tho… I’ll let you know (aha! A MISSION!)

well, my poop-head friend’s site links don’t seem to be working… so I couldn’t get to his girlie-friend Rose’s site. Appearantly she isn’t lending her assistance to his site’s construction!
