i wouldn’t worry about it at all steph… some people just like to use the net to make anonymous angry attacks they could never get away with in real life. why do they do it? because man is a bad animal. rabid and random.
i think that most folks support your idea/right to charge folks to see the stuff you’ve put so much work into. like i said before, many folks aren’t going to be evolved enough to understand that there is something other than sex on the net that’s worth paying for.
perhaps this move on your part will change their minds?
it amazes me that anyone would react so negatively to this decision of yours. it seems like everyone involved is going through incredible emotional stress, pro- or con- paysite.
but, look at it this way… by charging money for a special section of your site, it’s not like you’re going to LOSE any money! you have everything to gain in this venture. it just makes SENSE to try it!

Why should you have to cover all of the costs out of your own pocket?…Like you acknowleged these are only people that are trying to talk you out of this for their own greed…People that are wipped by thier wives and are scared that if you have a ‘pay’ area they won’t be able to join cause their wives won’t let them…as I can tell, your site is your outlet of self expression and creativaty, you do it as a ‘hobby’, and with everyone’s ‘hobby’ if it gets to exspensive they stop doing it. Is that the option these people want? I know that it is impossible not to take what they say to heart, but in my opinion just ignore them, they are ‘the money grubbing netsetters out there’ by wanting you to cover the cost of their entertainment….

I used to get quite a bit of “hate” mail near the beginning but it’s gotten less and less and now I can’t even think of the last one I received. Sure I still get the idiots who write one-liners to me “show me your______” but I just laugh. I think it has made me a much stronger person. I’ve learned to deal with people in ways that doesn’t confirm why they are writing those nasty letters in the first place. (not angry towards them) It has made me more level-headed when faced with this. People will have their opinions. There are the people who won’t pay and who will be quiet about it. But there are just a few people out there who won’t pay, but who will make a stink because of what they will be missing out on.
Hehe this is something funny that I just learned in my Social Psychology class. And I think it applies…
To change someone’s attitude toward something (like changing the idea of “paying for a webcam site” into a positive light) they need to be tempted to the point of commiting the act. But if the person is tempted, but then decides NOT to do it, that person will have an even stronger negative attitude than before. That is why there is all this aggression.
These people have obviously now been tempted to join your site (once it goes pay) and for some reason they can’t or they are sticking to their guns about not paying (for some reason). Now they’re just plain mad and they take it out on you. Hehe, it’s a nice theory anyway. Sorry to ramble, just thought you might like that.
J and I did not buy your tshirts because we needed more clothing…we bought your tshirts to support you and your site and mostly your creativity that went into creating these shirts. (which btw, are very good quality and super cute). Good luck with whatever you decide. 🙂

bloody IDIOTS: that has to be the STOOPIDEST mail i ever seen: there is one that doesn’t know jack shit about the cam cost: yeah there are free hosts and yeah sure that works for a normal website (but not popular ones) but a cam never lasts on a free sever: they get booted: speacially if it’s a good one! MORONS: and the sheer gall of calling other people money grubbng when they are wanting their shit free regardless of YOUR life: I mean this guy didn’t even care enough to RESEARCH his opinion: and that line saying it’s not aimed at yoou? like DUH I suppose he just sent it casue he couldn’t find a place lke the storm drain and couldn’t avoids using names? just had to write you up a letter saying he’s never coming back: no offence ntended of course…

I never write on messege boards, I love observing, but anyway. I just wrote because I feel that Stephanie shouldn’t feel sad about a personal choice she’s made. I can understand and in a way agree with the choice she’s made. In fact I’d be a member if I currently had the funds, and when I get them I will be a member =cp . I think whomever wrote that nasty little mail is disgusting. The reason why I personally like the site a lot is because Stephanie doesn’t get naked. There are so many sites out there with beautiful girls naked already and I love the fact that Stephaniepossess the ability & grace to run a popular site without having to reveal anything. Don’t get me wrong this is a free country and those girls can do whatever they choose, it’s their own choice but I love the fact that Stephanie doesn’t. Her pictures are artistic and beautiful and I think that’s one of the main reasons a lot of the viewers of Stvlive come here, I know I am one! I don’t remember the purpose of writing this and I probably went off track awhile ago but I just wanted to state to Stephanie to never let anyone on this messege board or in your life make you feel that what you choose, and what you feel is wrong. So many people in this country believe that free or cheap anything is their birthright. Sorry folks, we live in a free society with a market economy; someone has to pay the bills! (The clamor over gasoline prices has the same stench about it. Hey folks, remember the supply and demand thing???)
