another morning. i am still in a lot of pain. i was hoping the cramps would have calmed down over night but i still feel like doubling over in pain when i am upright. at least i know my cramp almost never last after two full days of them. i am charging my laptop with the tainted cord right now – very carefully. my laptop only has an hour left on it’s battery and it will prolly have to last me the whole weekend. so i examined the whole cord to see where the cuts were. they were only in a 6″ section so i smoothed down the frayed bits, grounded that part away from the cats and me, and pluged everything in. it is charging now but i am going to have to sit here and babysit it the whole time to the kittys don’t come sniffing the cord and shock themselved or the computer. it’s not that bad though. when i grabbed the cord to see if bunny had chewed it i happened to grab the worst frayed part and just felt tingling. but you can’t be too careful. we went to bed at 6am because of dan’s 5 hour call from work. though i napped on and off from 6pm to 4am. lying in bed was all i could handle. right now i am sitting here, rocking back and forth, hoping the pain will go away soon. the kiities are all in here waiting for their breakfast. bri is on the desk looking out the window, fatass is beside her laying on a phonebook (he likes laying on paper products), and simba is laying on the floor on his back – stretched out like super cat. i don’t know what we are doing today. dan will probably be asleep for a while longer. i want o buy some plants for the balcony and the rest of the stuff for the party this weekend. i still have my cameras running – ftping to nowhere. dan seemed to have a little bit of hope that bell satanic might fix their shit today, but i have absolutly zero confidence in them. i bet we will be down till late monday or even tuesday. sorry 🙁 |

Bunny’s cord…
Did she chew before or after the big ‘box’ in the cord (or is the big box actually plugged into the wall?) if it is between the big ‘box’ and the wall that is the 120 volt side that is where she (or you can get hurt) the wire should kinda have two sections made into one….if she only chewed through a little bit (like a couple of ‘strands’) and not through an entire section you should be OK…you could even wrap it in masking tape (even better would be electrical tape) to just make it a bit safer…if she did go through alot of the ‘strands’ you need to unplug it (its prolly too late now 🙁 ) cause you will burn up the big ‘box’….Ok now if its between the ‘box’ and your computer (like it sounds like it is) then that is the ‘Low voltage’ side you should be relatively safe with that side as far as not getting hurt however if she got all the way through alot of ‘strands’ you could still risk burning up part of your laptop…what is ‘alot’ of ‘strands’ say if you guess that there are 25 strands in the whole group if only 10 are still connected that would be bad…you dont want less then 1/2 of your total strands to be all thats carrying the power…OK now that I am done rambling I hope this helps some..:P

PS remember to unplug the cord from the wall and the computer before you examine it any more that way you shouldn’t feel that ‘tingling’ anymore 😛

Oh, and I just wanted to say that I once touched the metal part of the plug on accident while plugging in a fan. Hehe, my arm wiggled around then flew back by itself! *twitch* Mee thinks you should not do this either. *twitch*
