hello from california!

yep, we made it! but it was a looong day yesterday. we got to the airport to find that our 6pm flight was delayed untill 9pm… yikes! but thier 1pm flight was going to leave at 6pm so they switched us to that so that we could make our connection in phoenix. the flight was looong. dan and i watched most of fight club until my battery was about to run out. i still need to catch the end. of course our veggie meals were not on board since we were switched at the last minute. but the flight attendant was really nice and brought us two pbj sammiches. during our layover in pheonix we ate some mexican-ish food.

the second flight was short and i was very sleepy – it was around 1am est. i slept with my head in danny’s lap for most of the flight. we waited and waited for our bags in san diego and they never came out. i was getting really worried then we found all the baggage from our flight piled up outside the airline’s office. okay… we grabbed it and danny got a rental car. we need it so we can meet up with holly, izzi, and their boyz on monday at san deigo zoo. i was soo sleepy when we got to the hotel, but dan and i decided to go to the denny’s next door for some food before sleep. mark (dan’s brother) went to bed right away. we got to sleep at 3am pst (6am est – i had been up 23 hours).

we woke up after about 6 or 7 hours of sleep and headed out along the beach to torry pines park. we hiked around a bit and took a lot of pictures. i hadn’t realized i would be out in so much sun so i hadn’t put on sun screen. bad girl! i have a cute little pinkish nose now. not bad though – i kept an eye on how long we were out because i didn’t want to dehydrate. it was so georgous though….

we ate lunch with a bunch of danny’s relatives. i love them – they are all so funny and nice. we ate at a mexican place. i put yummy californian guacamole on everything. yum!

we went to a shopping area afterwards (just danny and me). a lot of brands i buy online are from here. my main goal was to replace the capri pants i got out here last year. i shrunk them in the wash on thursday, hehe. we both found a lot of cool stuff. i got the capris, a super soft pair of black cargos, 3 tee-shirts, and a purple monkey bag!

we came back to the room after shopping and changed to nicer clothes for the rehersal dinner. they had a bunch of people there (like 30) – not just the wedding party. i only knew danny’s family there. it was nice though. we just got back and i tried connecting up. it costs 75 cents per call out though. and it is a local number – sheesh!

i will have lots of pretties pictures of us near the water when i get home. and hopefully lots of pictures of me and my girrlies from monday!
