On February 5th, Jax will turn 1-year-old. I can’t even wrap my brain around that one. We’ve started planning a little party for him. We are going to have a hockey theme and watch the Caps game. He has been to two games already and loves their red uniforms. Evites will be sent this weekend.

Jax has been growing like a weed. I’m excited to see what his stats are next month at his doctor’s appointment. He is wearing size 12 months and I’m already buying size 18 pants and rolling them up. He babbles a lot, especially “mama” and “dada” but I don’t think there is meaning behind it yet. He does know some sign language and will sign “milk” (while smacking his lips) and “more”. Since he has started to use signs, we will be teaching him more (along with the spoken word) now. He is constantly standing and cruising. We keep catching him standing there not holding on to anything. Walking may be sooner than we think! He still only has 2 teeth, but he’s been doing some serious teething lately.
