So I am finally bruising – one week later. My arm keeps hurting a little worse each day, so I am going to the doctor this afternoon.
China still won’t potty outside on the ice. She has now pooped twice in the house. She begs to go outside constantly, and I’ve been taking her just about every hour, but she won’t even pee. I even found her 3 sq ft of grass someone had cleared, but she wouldn’t use it. Ugh. I finally had to close he into the kitchen for now so she doesn’t pee on the carpet in the office. I think we are all ready for the ice to melt. She pulls of hard on walks that I am worried about falling and making my arm worse.
Does she pull even when on a Gentle Leader? I have a 55-60 lb boxer-pit mix and I won’t walk her without a Gentle Leader. Eliminated pulling immediately.
Ouch…
… that looks realy bad. I hope it will turn out only as sprained(even if a sprained limb could hurt sometimes more and for a longer time as something else) and nothing worse.
Even if it may sound silly, but have you tried these winter-“shoes/socks” for dogs? Perhaps the ice is hurting China when she runs around for awhile outside(what could happen, especially when someone uses salt to melt the ice).
The Beachdog has taken to going on the nicely cleared driveway. This morning a turd started rolling down the slope of the driveway and I fielded it like an all-star short stop! (with a baggie … not bare handed)
But better cleaning the driveway than having him hurt his hip again on the frozen tundra.
