Herro?

I know, I know… I haven’t posted. I feel like I never get any personal computer time anymore. I’m just too fried after work. I am trying to get my schedule straightened out so that I can change that. It is a work in progress, though.

Some Thank Yous:
Since I last wrote, I found out who sent me the mini keychain sharpies for my birthday… Thank you, Jindigar! You know better than most how addicted I am to sharpies and post-its.

I also received this beautiful tee shirt I had been lusting over, but the package didn’t say who it was from. (This seems to be a trend.) Thank you, anonymous person Gikiski!

Briar sent me a very sweet gift – a pretty box full of yarn, a knitting kit, and instructions. I am looking forward to learning how to use the round knitting hoops. Thank you so much! I took a picture of everything on my cell phone, but haven’t posted it yet.

If you got me a present and I haven’t mentioned it in this post or one of my last few, then you may want to look into it. I noticed there were three other items bought off my wishlist that I never received (you have to change the form at the top to ‘purchased’ to see which ones). I’d hate for someone to waste money like that. Plus, right now the items are hidden from me on the default view of my wishlist. I use that list to buy things for myself so I don’t forget where to find them again. I want to re-add them if they really aren’t bought.

Today we went out to an outlet mall. Fun times! That mall is always packed. I was hoping to get sneakers (check) and a white watch band (nope). I found a silk tank top for $10 and a wooden beaded bag I’d been wanting for $15.

Afterwards we went grocery shopping. I hate grocery shopping. Our check-out girl was odd. She told me I had an “unusual style” then stared at me for a moment. ‘In a good way, I mean,’ she said finally. She keep throwing our groceries into the bags all willy-nilly and I kept having to rescue the bread from being mashed.

Tonight we are going to enjoy a Mexican restaurant meal with our good friend, Ivan. Tomorrow qwe are going to my coworker’s daughter’s pool party. I made a craft kit for her present. Pool party! It has been very hot and sticky here…

Ivan is here… Time to go!

  1. Enjoy the Mexican dinner. What does your “Craft kit” consist of? It sounds like a neat gift idea!

We live near an outlet mall here in FL but I can’t remember the last time we went. I’ve SO turned into a Target girl. If I can’t find it there or at DOTS(a cheap clothing boutique really nearby) then I don’t get new clothes.

  2. hey, i remembered seeing a comment a while back about you wanting to make friends on animal crossing on nintendo ds. i just bought that game today! can you connect w/it over long distances or is it only a few feet away type of thing? if you can do it over long distances, i’m totally up for playing! i don’t have the game figured out AT ALL yet, but i’m working on it… hehe. let me know. πŸ™‚

    • You can connect either way. To connect over the internet, you need a wireless connection. I can use the wireless router we have at home, but you could also use one at a place like Starbucks. You’d want to keep the ds plugged in since wireless sucks up power. If you go to the gatekeeper dog on the right, he can help you set up the wireless if you ask to go out. He can also give you a “friend code”.

I still haven’t had anyone connect. Gikisiki was valiantly trying, but a firewall was getting in our way. :/

      • i have a wireless connection in my house, so i can give it a try though that. i’ll see what i can do, i’ll give you my friend code as soon as i get it figured out! πŸ™‚
