This is Emmie. She is a sweet cocker spaniel we are fostering here at the doggy daycare I work at. Emmie was a puppymill breeder dog before she was rescued by OBG Cocker Spaniel Rescue.

Emmie came in to foster with us a while ago along with several other dogs. They stay with us like a boarding dog would and play with the daycare dogs all day. On the weekends, rescue staff come and get the foster dogs to bring them to adoption shows.

Everyone besides Emmie has been adopted out from this location. Poor Emmie gets so scared at adoption fairs that she doesn’t show off her sweet personality. She does great playing in her daycare playgroup, and she loves to meet new people. But, Emmie wasn’t treated well at the puppy mill. It is possible she was kicked, because she flinches sometimes if legs are coming at her. I’m sure all the strange legs going by at an adoption fair would be overwhelming to her.
