Doggie Daycare

Wow, I am beat!

This week, I have been working the evening shift up at our brand new doggy daycare location in Maryland. I’ve been doing set up, evaluating new dogs, and giving tours. On Monday we will start having dogs come in for daycare and boarding. This week, we are just letting people come in and look around.

The place is amazing – 20,000 sq. ft. with 4 huge playrooms and tons of office space. Everything is new and colorful, and the rooms are all wired with webcams you can see on monitors in the hallway. The only downside is it takes 40 minutes to get there from my house without traffic.

Yesterday, I got to meet tommx, lkell, and their two dogs when they came for an evaluation. I am in love with Tobey and Tallulah! Tallulah is a little jumping bean who attacked me with kisses. Tobey is a sweet boy who liked to lean on my legs and also roll over for belly scratches. It was great to finally mean the whole family! It was a little frustrating trying to do the evaluations while there were contractors there leaving hall doors open, but I made due.

Danny went out to Uno’s to meet a friend for dinner right at I was locking up the Maryland location, so I met them there and had a veggieburger for dinner. Shortly after I got home I was attacked by a killer migraine that I am still fighting off.

Today I had to go to our Tysons Corner location first to print out some signs and pick up a load of things to bring up to Maryland. I had to hold down the fort in the evening. I did two evaluations and had someone stop in for a tour. Then I locked up and drove our (our = the doggy daycare I work for) two foster dogs back to the other location before continuing home. I am starving now (the evening shift does that to me), but Danny is so kindly fulfilling my request for pasta.

Tomorrow I am once more at the new location in the evening. Friday I have off to do a photoshoot with magnetic99. Friday night and Saturday will be spent with Danny. Sunday, tomorrowsangel and I are doing a photoshoot with photo-obscura from 1 pm to 4 pm. Since I am re-braiding my hair for our upcoming vacation, I finally felt unugly enough to do some shoots with my wonderful photographer friends!

So tired and hungry… I will be taking care of both of those things shortly. My vision is still flickering around the edges from my migraine, but it has been tolerable most of the day.Hopefully it will be all gone by tomorrow. I only have 35 braids let to do. I have been working on them in the mornings before driving to Maryland.

I can’t wait for my vacation!!!
