Doggy Daycare

As you may or may not know, I work at a doggy daycare. I am their graphic and web designer, though I started out in the doggy playrooms in 2003.

This weekend is the Super Pet Expo here in northern VA. I will be working in our booth there today from 10 am – 3 pm.

This year, we will have a huge booth at the front of the expo center. We had a mascot costume made of our logo dog that the staff will take turns wearing. Our company started franchising over the past year and has already sold 7 (in addition to a new corporate location opening next month), so it will be fun to get out of the office for a day and have a good time spreading the doggy daycare love!

For the last two weeks I have been taking care of a lot of the visuals for our booth. I am excited to see how the big backdrop looks with my signs and photos on it!

I also gave myself the task of making a new scrapbook. We had an old one we’d bring to all the shows, but the pages were very busy, the photos were outdated, and the cover had been jumped on by doggy feet one too many times. I had never scrapbooked before (is that a verb?), but I can’t do anything half-assed, so I think it came out well. Click the image to go see all the (blurry) photos I took of each of the pages before putting them into the new album.

It is overcast and drizzly today, but the temperature is 66° and I have the French doors open in our home office. Because the air is so thick, I can hear an announcer for a horse show at the farm down the road.

Time for me to go get packed up to go!
