ow my neck

Yesterday Dan and I volunteered at a super pet adoption as adoption counselors.
We met so many cute dogs. Danny liked Charlie the Chow. My favorite, Sasha the Boxer mix, had someone apply to adopt her! I enjoyed being around all the dogs, rescues, and dog lovers, but I can’t remember the last time I was that cold. According to everyone, my lips were blue right after I arrived. I put some tinted lip balm on, but they still looked purple. I tried to stick to the sunny side of the courtyard.

Here are a few of the sweet puppies I took pictures of. I didn’t get many photos cause I was petting a lot of furry bellies. There are linked to their adoption information.

There were two adorable puppies there. Their mom is a Basset/Am Staff mix, their dad was most likely a Boxer. They were so sweet. One curled up on my lap and promptly fell asleep (on top of my coffee). Her sister decided to stay warm by adding to the puppy pile. I let the stay there till my foot was asleep. These puppies need homes! Here is the bottom puppy. And here is the top puppy. I have their foster mommy’s name and number if you want to contact her via phone.

This morning, when I was getting dressed, I got a shooting pain in my right arm/sholder/neck. After that my neck hurt so bad I was crying until my Tylenol kicked in a little. Danny kindly got me some more medicine from his car when we were waiting for our brunch to arrive at our table when were went out to eat. That helped more, though it made me loopy. I was able to manage going to the big outlet mall for a while. I bought my niece’s Christmas present. I also got a scarf and some tops for myself and some candy for a coworker. Oh, and some sewing supplies.

Our friend, Ivan, met up with us there when we were finishing our lap of the (very long) mall. We met up at our place, then went out to dinner at P.F. Chang’s.

My shoulder and neck still hurt a lot. but it is bearable. I am hoping it won’t interfere with sleep.

And speaking of sleep, I should go do that. We get up at 5:45 am.
