Thanks for the help so far with dresses. Unfortunatly, I don’t have the answer to the question everyone is asking – I have no idea how fancy the wedding will be. I assume pretty fancy if it will be in the Hotel Bel Air and the groom (Danny’s uncle) is a partner in an LA law firm. But, being a morning wedding, I am a little confused as to where to draw the line between fancy dresses and evening gowns. All I know is that I need to get it soon to allow time for alterations (whether done by me or a taylor).
I found a few online last night that I liked. Danny only really agreed on one of them, this peach one. It doesn’t come in XS so I’d most likely be altering it. It says the bust is padded which is a huge plus for me. My biggest problem is not filling out the tops of dresses. It is a dress I would walk right by in a store, but I made myself look at all the dress photos online very objectively. This one said “wedding guest” to me. I would need to learn how to walk in strappy high-heel sandals stat!
I liked this one in “iris” (“view colors” under the photo). It appeals to my inner hippie/fairy, heh. But Danny doesn’t like it much and it is pricey.
So, I guess I shall keep looking for dresses online, and in the meantime I will try to go to Macy’s soon to see if I can look at the dress in person. It may come down to me having to order it and return it (if it doesn’t work out) if I can’ find it at the mall.
I need to get back to work now that I’ve finished my breakfast.
