festive…
sooo… i am feeling very festive this holiday season. we have had two many years of not much holiday cheer (thanks to tight budgets and odd working hours). it has been a couple years since i’ve even put up a full-sized tree. it is all i can do to wait a little longer before starting to decorate… i guess i am wanting to make up for the years we didn’t get to celebrate much, or something?
this post is mostly to invite you to dinner. thanksgiving dinner, to be precise. of you friend-type people… are there any of you who don’t have family plans and would like to come over for a holiday dinner party? it would make me super happy! danny is a great cook (and no longer vegetarian), but you’d be welcome to coordinate dishes with us. if anyone is interested, we could decorate gingerbread houses – if not, i can do that on my own some other time. i’d like to get a tree and have it up without decorations, and we could all decorate it together (or, you could laugh at me being a dork awhile you watch me decorate it myself). we could listen to good music, drink wine and cider and spiced hot tea, talk and catch up in a place where you don’t have to shout (i.e. the club)… if you are available and interested, please leave a comment or email me. i will put together an evite or something soon. i’ll dress india up as santa clause if that will make you come… 🙂
