thank you all for the feedback on my costume! i guess it is good enough to wear with all those positive comments… it doesn’t look great up close (the “boots” mostly), but at least i picked something that was supposed to have ragged edges (and no hemming!). and, as it was mentioned, it will be dark. let’s just hope i don’t dance right out of it. i should be okay – the top is hand-sewn onto a bra with a billion stitches, the skirt has elastic in the waistband, and i found brown bootie shorts to wear under it. the boots disn’t fall down when i jumped around the room in them – there is an elastic band under the “fur” part. makes a nasty looking dent in my calf, but it holds.
so, i shall stop off at the craft store tomorrow to get more of the brown lacing. i want to put it in my hair and on the wrist things. at 7pm i am getting picked up by the wonderful 
moosifer , and we are going to get into our costumes with some friends before heading out. i am excited to see people!
tomorrow danny and i are going to go biking, since they are calling for weather in the upper 70°s F. we have a bike rack on my car now. all i need to do is actually get practice on my bike. i had only ridden one when i was little, so i am still getting the hang of it. i can’t turn very well yet and i can’t go fast. we’ll drive to a nice smooth path for me this time (probably the w & od trail). maybe in the spring when i am better at it, those of you with bikes can get together with us sometime?
today danny bought me pajamas with pink puppies all over them. i’ve been dying for new flannel pjs and you can’t beat pink puppies!
we played “the dog monopoly” tonight. i’d never played a game of monopoly all the way through before, but i actually won! it was much easier to pay attention when you are buying breeds of puppies instead of streets.
i made a list of the photos people have requested so i know what i need to take. feel free to add. i think i might make a little page for them so i can add it to my site when i go through freshening it up.
