stephanie is: tired…
so the parade was cute, but not nearly as organized as it could have been. they made us wait an hour before it was our turn to join in (lots of police, fire trucks, marching bands, horses, and whatever were in front of us). so, most of the dogs ended up going home after the pre-parade costume contest (china wasn’t eligible) due to the wait. there were probably about a dozen doggies that marched. china was sooo happy once she finally got to walk. she didn’t appreciate the wait because she doesn’t like other doggies in her face. she’s a chow, that is just how they are. at one point in the parade, i smelled poopies. next thing i know, china is rolling on the street in front of everyone…. in horse plop! niiiiccce. luckily it was dried, so i took her surgical mask from her pocket and dusted off the dried dung. what a tard! all the dogs were trying to eat the candy corns and other crushed bits of candy on the street.
it was only in the 50°s, but i was cold. i had on jeans, scrub pants, long john top, long sleeve tee, scrub top, and polar fleece gloves. geez. i felt like i was wearing a snowsuit from all the layers!
here are some pictures. you can also see one from my phone cam via livejournal. if you have a lj friends list, feel free to add that as a friend so you can see photos i post live through-out the day.
