okay…
so i am about to run out the door on errands. i need to be back in time to take ivan to the vet at 3pm, so i am trying to plan out my route. thanks to my navigation system, i can actually GET places and though i still get lost, it gets me unlost again.
so my scrubs arrived! even the pink cargo-style pants i thought were backordered. there is a picture in my phone blog. i need to get white shoes and a warm long sleeve shirt to complete the ensemble. i will try target first for the shoes, then the maul (since they have a payless shoe store). i need to work out how i will coordinate everything on wednesday (getting china and getting to the parade, etc…) i think danny might be interested in going, which would be a big help since we need extra hands for the banner. perhaps he can get china and bring her to my work in the evening, then we head from there. except he wouldn’t want to have her in his car, so maybe he can take my car in the morning and just drop me at work (i have schedule flexibility that day as i am schedule to do office/web work). hm. if that is too sucky for him, i can just work from home or something. it is somewhat easier to work there though as i need to be able to talk to my boss about what i am working on. we’ll see. maybe i could even nab a dog spa shirt from work if danny wants to be in the parade but doesn’t want to dress up, hehe. i still need to get a toy stethoscope for china. i can look in the huge halloween store int he maul.
i have been waffling (mmm waffles) about wether to go to the halloween club night in the city or not. i always hate to make weekend plans not involving danny because it takes from my time with him. but, i’d see friends i rarely see, get to make a costume, and get to dance. and halloween is only once a year. i am thinking i just might go. i have an idea for a costume i’ve wanted to try since i first put my hair in braids. i can’t hide my hair under a wig (there is too much of it) so i thought a cave girl look would work with it. i think i might pick up a few yards of fun fur, fake suede, and fake leather cording to see what i can piece together. i could get a simple flesh-tone bra from target to sew a cave girl camisole onto and then make a skirt to match. footwear is harder. but maybe i can do some sort of leg wrap. i can check the halloween store for accessories, but i’m thinking i’d be best off getting some bake-able clay to make bone and teeth beads from the craft store.
okay, so my plan of attack for the day is going to be: drive to the sterling shopping center that has target, joann’s fabrics, and michael’s craft store. at target i also need some toiletries and some finishing gifties/wrapping for a package i am sending off to canada this weekend. i wouldn’t have time for the maul, so perhaps danny and i can go tonight or sometime this weekend. i could get the warm shirt i need there too. we have a busy weekend – we want to go up to the mountains on saturday since it is around peak for the autumn leaves, and sunday late morning i have a naming ceremony in maryland for my niece.
okay, ima do some quick costume sketches, then start on my errands.
