thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday online yesterday!
my day was pretty normal… work as usual. danny text messaged me happy birthday when i woke up. while i was in the kitchen at work having lunch, someone told me the boss wanted to see me about my time sheets. when i got to the office, a lot of the staff were there and sang happy birthday to me. there was a little cake with candles and a card. awww! the new people were all guessing i was 22. i’ll take that!
after work, danny was asleep. he had had an interview at 1 pm and needed to sleep for work later that night. there was a present waiting for me from one of my site members – a doggie recipe book. thank you! i also got a birthday card from my aunt on my mom’s side and a phone call from my aunt on my dad’s side. didn’t hear from anyone else, but that is how it is every year. (with the exception of the one year i had a party, i usually don’t even get presents or cards.) that night while waiting for danny to wake up i had a snack, took a bubble bath, and read in bed. he got up around 9:30pm and we had a quick birthday dinner of taco bell (since that is all we had time for) – paid for by the tip i got for bathing a weimaraner that afternoon. i caught up on some silly tv shows before going to sleep since tivo was starting to run out of room.
this morning, i woke up 15 minutes before my alarm to the phone ringing. danny got the job he interviewed for! so tomorrow night we will be celebrating both my birthday and his new job when we go out to dinner. i’d like to see a movie sometime this weekend as well… it is rare that we get to see them in the theater. i have freelance work to do at some point tomorrow, but not all day.
i am going to head out towards work early today so i can buy something for dinner tonight on the way. we are short a lot of important things for meals like bread and fruits and veggies.
