i should be in bed since i work tomorrow morning at 8am, but i am still eating dinner (an instant rice cup) so i figured i’d post.
in tech-related news, i have finally been able to upgrade to max os 10.3 (after owning a copy since it came out). my video cards were unsupported. danny first bought me a new one and a flat screen monitor with the intention of plugging one of my regular monitors into the other spot on the card. unfortunately that didn’t work out, so i’ve been using one of the old cards to be able to keep my dual-monitor setup. this weekend he suddenly said i was getting my replacement monitor for the new card! so now i have an upgraded system, room on my desk to type without getting carpal tunnel syndrome, and two snazzy flat screens. it took a while, but it was worth the wait!
we took the girls on a nice long walk today. it was nice out – around 77° though that sure felt hot after i’d jogged a while without a breeze. we had to stop at the circle-k for some water. here is a movie… though i shrunk down both the quality and dimentions, it is still big for dial-ups.
tonight we walked around the fairfax county fair. it was mostly a test in dodging idiots and trying not to inhale the diesel fumes and grilled animal smoke. danny ate some sort of sloppy cow sammich, we shared some curly fries, and we each had a soft-serve ice cream cone on the walk back to the top of the parking garage where our car was. we ended up sitting on a pillar up there with the best view of the firework show (though we were invaded by a family of a bazillion kids about 15 minutes before they started). apparently, taking pictures of fireworks at maximum digital zoom drains my rechargable battery pretty damn fast. another movie…
i believe i have a photoshoot with 
photo_obscura next saturday. danny has to work that night so he will be sleeping while i am off doing that anyway. i don’t have to work that sundayuntil 2pm… i guess that makes it possible for me to actually go out dancing on a saturday night for once, but i don’t know…
we are having family visit at the end of the month, but i need to find out exact dates soon soon soon if i am to adjust my work schedule at all.
okay, rice done. to bed i go for too little sleep.
