stephanie is: tired…
last night i had insomnia and only got 2 hours of sleep. we had around 50 dogs boarding today and only 3 of us working (manager up front and one person per room). the dogs were crazy all day. usually they are tired when they board but they managed to keep their energy up. the gym was nasty – hair everywhere, since we’ve been crating dogs for the night in there which makes it hard to sweep under/behind the crates. i started sweeping as soon as my shift in there started (you have to clean the room you end on) and 2 hours later i still had a 3rd to go. i had enough of the crated cleaned and de-haired to put the dogs down for their 2pm nap. they were silent and finally crashing the whole time i finished sweeping and mopping (i finished around 3:30pm) except when someone else would come in the room. i think they were beginning to consider me a feature of the room since i’d been in there sweeping so long. i threw away a pile of hair big enough to reconstruct a labrador retriever.
i got out of there about 45 minutes late and cruised home with my window down and lynyrd skynyrd blasting (as loud as my shitbox would allow before starting to make farty-armpit sounds). danny had told me he wanted to go play pool as soon as i got home since it is free on sundays from 4pm – 7pm. i was looking forward to it since we hadn’t gone in many months. he had asked that i wake him so i rubbed his head till he opened his eyes, then i went to shower all the dog off me. he stayed asleep despite me being a loud clumsy ho, so i asked him if he still wanted to go. he hadn’t gotten enough sleep so i let him be.
so i think tonight i will just do web site work, make myself dinner, and go to bed. i am in chat if you feel like stopping by. i always forget that sunday isn’t monday since it is when i start my work week.
useless fact about stephanie:
when freebird comes on the radio while she is driving and she arrives at her destination before it ends (which is usually the case since the song lasts 2/3 her commute), she will sit in her car until it has ended.
