it is nearly time for me to get into bed, watch my hour of tv, and sleep till 5am.
so, friday i had my 30-day evaluation at work. they basically told me i was doing really well and that they knew i’d be great in the rooms by the second day. i got a dollar raise, and this week i am meeting with the owner to discuss taking over website duties. the website work will pay time-and-a-half.i was pleased that they were so pleased. and i feel their statements are somewhat reinforced by the fact they have had confidence in me to do training with the new girls when i’ve only been there a month myself.
i stayed at work till 5:30pm because there were so many dogs that we needed to open a 4th area for them (gym, playroom, outside, and me in the lounge). i’ve told them i am always available to stay till then when they need extra help. danny is not usually up by then and 10 hour days are easy to do when you have your lunch break an hour before you leave.
friday night danny didn’t think he could take off to spend my night/day off with me, so i went to bed early. i was determined to catch up on a lot of sleep (i’ve been averaging 4.5 hours per night) despite china waking me up several times. i wasn’t surprised that i had to take her out to poop at 5am since i normally let them out when i wake up. at that point i had had 7 hours of sleep but i kept at it till i had 12. ahhh!
on my day off i did work on the new look for our hosting company, serve-you.net. i still have to finish redoing a couple pages in the design section and upload them… i didn’t want them to go live with the old content. danny had to go to work that night even though it was supposed to be his night off. had he known, he would have taken friday night off after all… we really miss spending time together. full-time jobs on opposite schedule and different days off mean not seeing a lot of each other. i am looking forward to our 4 days in december in las vegas mainly to have 96 hours with him! anyway, i asked him to see if he could take monday night off instead since i have tuesday off and can stay up if we wanted to go out. i think he is going to be able to do that.
today we had an extra person at work – we normally only have 3 on sundays. one of the new girls was there to learn how sundays work. it was a pretty standard day except i had to break up a lot of humping. some days are like that. i was in the lounge for the last shift and every time i got comfortable and warm in my pile of 5 dogs i’d have to get up to mop up pee. coordinate your bladders, puppies, so i can snuggle longer! whenever i am in the lounge i think to myself, i get paid for this?
it is going to be super dooper cold tomorrow when i get in my car. it is already down to 28° and danny’s car is taking up the garage. but i only have one day to work before i have a day off.
