woo! 
persis is here! she arrived last night… after midnight. danny was at work, but he was able to meet us at the little 24/7 restaurant at 2am. persis and i went home to sleep after that. today we braided and braided and braided. the parts in hers are a lot straighter and neater than mine! makes a difference when it isn’t your own head i guess…
we got about halfway through them, though i’ve been working from the middle out, so she has a “braid mohawk”. the color is coming out really pretty… mostly auburn with subtle streaks of aqua, lilac, and silvery-white.
the time flew by. i had the dogs downstairs so danny could sleep, but it backfired and i didn’t wake him in time to eat dinner with us. i have not liked being on an opposite schedule as him the past week and a half. but i should get used to it if i am job hunting, i guess.
persis and i went to silver diner since most places seemed to have closed at 10pm. they were kind of slow but the food was pertty good. i ordered take out desserts for us and dinner for danny. when i was paying i found a dead fly floating at the bottom of my iced tea. ew ew ew. i told the waitress for sanitation reasons and she just wanlked off mumbling and never came back. hm.
we stopped by danny’s data center on the way home and kept him company while he ate the dinner we brought. now we are home and i am feeling pretty damn tired. maybe it is a good night to lay in bed and watch a tivoed movie or something…
oh and the dogs (especially india) LOVE her!
