stephanie is: okay…
it is almost my birthday!! i wouldn’t be so excited, but we are driving out to the beach for a two night stay… here is a silly count down i posted in my thoughts 2 years ago:
thanks again to my friends who sent me birthday cash for the trip – it will be a big help since we have to eat and stuff. (if you want the link, just scroll back a few entries. i am lazy)
i wasn’t sure what my sleep schedule was going to be for the next two days. we are going to leave for our trip late sunday morning. danny has to work tonight till 8am saturday so we are just going to stay up till we can’t take it any more saturday evening. we may end up waking up at 4am on sunday, but that is fine since i need to wash sheets in order to have a spare set after we get back (i will be putting the current clean set on for our house sitter). i did wake up at 3pm so staying up till 7pm might be a bit much without a nap at some point. we’ll see.
it is a good thing i’ll have a lot of time because i have a lot to do:
- 1-2 hours of freelance to take care of
call the vet and have the housesitter approved to handle any pet emergancies- about 2-3 hours of site updates i’d like to complete for members before we go
- several more loads of laundry (can be done while doing other things)
- probably several hours worth of installations on our travel laptop
- self-tanner application (preferably twice throughout the night/day since the first is always blotchy on my pale ass)
- if possible i’d like to commit 3 hours to redoing about 30 braids, but that is low priority
- i have to clean up the bathrooms (at least the toilets, sweeping, and tidying)
- write up my usual list for the housesitter
i’d like to buy “freedom’s choice” to read on the trip as it is book two in a series (my memory is poor so it is best when i read books in order)- possibly check the p.o. box, but i am not expecting anything regardless of my birthday being near, so maybe that isn’t needed
- buy bunny food and bones for the dogs
- change kitty litter in both boxes
i am super hungry. what is for dinner?
