well after both of us searching all night (danny needs to stay the night before he goes back to work after his days off to get back on the right schedule) i think we found a doable getaway.
we can’t afford the outerbanks this year. camping is not an option since we have no gear. ocean city, while the closest beach, is too expensive lodging-wise. we decided on virginia beach.
we found a chain hotel (not on the beach, but across from it) that has good rates and an special discount on one of those travel internet sites. they do have rooms with whirlpool tubs but they cost like $40 more a night, so no. i’ll just be happy to get away for two nights! once we find out if we have a confirmed house sittier we should reserve our room.
it will just be a normal hotel room, but with: free local calls, free high speed internet, free bike rentals, free full breakfast, and indoor/outdoor pools. it is in the middle of the boardwalk area (just one block back) so we can walk everywhere or take a trolly. our vacations always end up being lots and lots of walking (cause it is free!) we do want to see the aquarium there.
and, for the first time in at least 4 years, i won’t have any part of my period on my damn birthday! bout damn time! it is a shame i can’t yet afford to spend money on a new digicam and new video cam before then, those are things that will have to wait till i am working full time for a while. (to see the ones i am looking at see my amazon list. opinions?)

i am about to go to sleep. i only slept three hours and was awake at 11am. tonight danny goes back to work for the week. i plan to work on a freelance website design and some site updates. i have a posed members gallery to add.
there is a puppy crying next door. he/she sounds so sad i emailed our neighbor to see if she needs any help (she often fosters puppys and is not home during the day).
