dreaming of the beach…
i had been thinking off and on about how much i loved my birthday “vacation” (weekend really) last year to north carolina. it was so nice! danny mentioned that he wanted to go again at dinner tonight and that got me wanting to go 10x as much. but since i don’t have a saleried job yet, the only way we could afford it is if my birthday present from several people is cash for our lodging. i know we couldn’t afford my ideal beach vacation* until i’ve been working full time for a while, but just a place to drive down to and stay at by the ocean is good enough for us! so i am currently looking at hotels and daydreaming before starting my work tonight. well, not going to happen this year. maybe next?
* my ideal would be renting an suv, and putting two kennels in the back so we can bring the pups. we’d enjoy the drive down and stop as often as they needed. we’d rent a beach house with friends that allowed pets, but we’d kennel the dogs when we went out without them so they wouldn’t damage anything. we’d we’d run along the beach playing with the pups in the surf… doesn’t that sound nice?
