i am currently adding 400+ april cam pictures to the gallery. that will push the new database past the 13,000 mark. i’ve already updated the mini pics and movies galleries. stvlive.com members can find links on the home page.
so our weekend was officially the two nights danny had off this week – thursday night and friday night. thursday night we got a lot of overdue grocery shopping done at the 24-hour giant. thanks to a combination of allergies and construction workers building a deck just across the backyards from us, we got very little sleep. though we went to sleep around 8 or 9am we were up around noon. we made the most of the daylight and open stores by running many errands. first stop was an oil change and car wash for danny. then we went to the mall to waste time before his haircut there. danny got a replacment part for our weed-wacker so he could tackle the back yard jungle. after his haircut we went to the petstore for a few things.
it had been raining almost constantly for a month and we were both really suffering a lot from our allergies. mold and grass are big ones for me. our grass was long and seeding since our weedwacker was broken, and the rain was turning our backyard black and green with mold. lovely. my allergies mostly cause bad sinus pressure and earaches. i worry about danny when his cause him to need his athsma inhaler.
needless to say, after 2 hours of sleep and a busy day, we didn’t last very long into friday night/saturday morning. we were both asleep by 4am. it was very weird going to bed in the dark. i woke up at 6:45 and had absolutely no idea if it was am or pm until i sat up and looked at my laptop which shows 24-hour time. it was am still. i managed to sleep till around 11am. that was not so good for danny since he’d need to be at work from 11pm – 8am later. after some chores (backyard stuff for danny and going through cam captures for me) we went out for some deli sandwiches then walked around the herndon festival. we had to make another grocery store trip for some things we forgot before we could make dinner. afterwards i cleaned up the dishes then joined danny in his before-work nap.
since we’ve actually had only a few thunderstorms and showers in the last 3 days i am feeling better allergy-wise. the deck builders seem to be done (save for some trimming to add) so we’ve been getting sleep. i am a little uncomfortable for girl-type reasons at the moment, but it seems i am getting off easy
so far.
