tired…
the huge heaps of snow have made this week strange. it’s been fun to play with the dogs in it, but it has mostly been a hassle. my time sheet reflects it this week since meetings were canceled and office closed. feh to that! i can actually see the roof of my car now, thanks to the sun, but there is still a wide patch of snow behind it that is rather deep.
i have been adding a lot of pictures to the gallery. many many older galleries that were online, but not in my swanky gallery system/database. there are tons more entries to make (i am adding each image one at a time with keywords) but i’ve added near a thousand recently (a mix of old and new).
my other big fun for the day, since the client i’d been contracting for is m.i.a., is rebraiding my hair. i got 36 done today in 3 hours. i hope to finish the rest of the left side of my head this weekend, and hopefully start on the right. i don’t normally do so many at once, so that part of my scalp is tender from all the tugging (i have to comb out the hair that shed during the month or two it was braided, it can start to dread if it’s a spot i lay on a lot). but i have time and i am no longer sore from shoveling, so i’m taking advantage of that. it will be nice to finish that because it was big project #2 on my list after valentines.
speaking of valentines, if you have recieved one, let me know. i haven’t made it to the p.o.box to see if they are being sent back for more postage yet. i put 2 stamps on each (3 plus lighter valentines for out-of-country) but you never know. i am pretty much at the mercy of danny taking me around at the moment. even if i did spend a day shoveling my car out, the second i moved it someone would take my spot. the roads are not good around here yet… normally you can park along both sides of the road when the 10 or so spots are full (and they always are), but what was a lane for driving and a lane for parking in each directions is now one lane down the middle that both directions share. i hope they come through with the plow again. really. everything is going to be such a muddy mess when it finally all melts down.
for you stvlive.com member-type-people, i will be setting up a schedule for some shows once i get my rebraiding out of the way. i will continue to add pictures to the gallery (since i’d go nutz0r if i did nothing but braid all weekend). i tweaked my gallery script a bit to say “new” next to the new stuff so you don’t have to guess or hunt. i will do some new self-portrait shoots post-braiding as well. i still have my same camera from ’99, but i have saved up a third of what i need towards a new one. if you are interested in a lifetime membership to my site, visit this page to find out more. that money goes towards a nicer/newer digital camera for the site.
