so the fedex tracking info says the server parts will be arriving today. danny will work on the server tonight, and if it all works out stvlive.com will be back up before bed time. big thanks to the 4 of you who donated through the link in my earlier post – it paid for a quarter of out bill. if my site were paying for itself this wouldn’t be so hard on the wallet. but mysite memberships havn’t been too active since the economy went down the shitter. if the site is back tonight i am sure i’ll be doing gobs of updates tomorrow.

yesterday my tummy hurt bad after both lunch and dinner. it felt like i was trying to digest glass, bricks, and a bowling ball. the pain is coming and going as my system empties out. i stuck to just orange juice for breakfast and i’ll make some soup for lunch. i’ll have to wait and see what my tummy is ready for for dinner.

i read in cosmo that the average adult spends 450ish minutes per month on their home phone and 300-500 on their cell. !!! the most i talk on the phone is maybe once a month to my daddy and however long it takes me to tell the sales person to take me off their calling list. i guess that is because i have no real-life friends. it is certainly my fault for the most part. all my old friends live where we moved away from and they tend to only hang out with whoever is right next door so moving isolated me. and, though i’ve come a long way since high school, i am still very shy and have a hard time asking people to hang out with me. i have a hard time making friends with girls – perhaps because i grew up with just two guys and myself in the house. i think a girl friend would be wonderful – it has been 9 years since i had one i really clicked with. hm. now accepting applications!

I read that too, and it shocked me..

Then again this is coming from someone who spends 3 hours a week. Talking on the phone with her boyfriend on the west coast.

Before we met I’ve never talked that much on the phone with anyone. I’m sure after I move. The only time I’ll be on the phone is when I’m calling back home to talk to my friends, and family..

  2. I wish I lived closer! I have real life friends but I manage not to talk on the phone to them- I avoid that at all costs and just AIM them or email them to get them over to my house.

  3. I’m with you on the phone, and friend thing. πŸ˜‰

Home phone costs are so expensive anyway, cells are cheaper to use. πŸ˜‰

I make less than 1 dollar in phonecalls a month..

I do have some, very few “real life friends” Although, my “online” friends, whom I’ve known most of for more than 10 years.. they are real-real life friends, who I’ve done stuff with, met, and shared good times with. πŸ™‚

But yea, meeting people outside of an online capacity is very difficult (especially if you’re shy as I am?;))
I’d have to say, I have about a dozen or so friends (who I don’t work with) who I met in a non-online fashion, who I talk to..

It’s real hard, very hard infact..

Good luck with your girlfriend applications πŸ˜‰

bah, i don’t even bother answering the phone now, and just the machine pick it up. i’m actually trying to find the “no-call” script to encode into my machine to help drive them away.

you have plenty of real-life friends….anyone who maintains contact with you over extended periods of times is such a person (not counting the stalkers, of course..)

  5. nice to know…

…that there are other people out there like me. I have a cell phone, but I’m rarely on it. Its usually just for emergency’s n’ stuff. And I NEVER answer the phone at home unless the caller ID says its my boyfriend or family.

I have a lot of trouble making friends too, so don’t feel bad! I’m not really all that shy, but I find it hard just calling someone up and going “let’s do something!” Sometimes I’d rather just talk to someone over the net or read a book or something :c).

  6. damn..that is a lot of minutes. i spend maybe 5 minutes a month on the phone and that is only when steve calls me to pick him up from work. o_O;;

i am really bad at making friends too and i always fuck things up so i gave up. ur so adorable tho i don’t see how anyone would NOT want to be ur friend..i know it is difficult when ur shy tho, that is a reason i have problems too..bleh. =(
